Regular Season Champions Announced

PUEBLO, Colo. (October 4, 2016)- American Bucking Bull Inc. (ABBI) announced the 2016 regular season has come to close and all results and standings have now been audited. They are proud to be able to announce the top finishers in each category.

 

"We had some extremely close races this year and the quality of the bulls was outstanding," said ABBI Executive Director Jay Daugherty. "We congratulate the winners and thank everyone who actively participated in our title races."

 

Organized Crime (OK Corralis/Gordon/D&H) is the ABBI Regular Season Classic Champion. He accrued over $50,000 in prize money over the course of the season. His prizes for being first include a Big Tex stock trailer and a $5,500 bonus.

 

Reserve Champion was Rodriquez/Long's Handsome Jeff with $29,320 in earnings which was worth the second place bonus of $4,500. Acting Crazy from Martinez Bucking Bulls was right behind him with $29,200, earning a $3,500 bonus. In fourth with a $2,500 bonus for his season total of $21,110 was Frequent Flyer from D&H/Erwin. Wrapping up the Top 5 was Little Tim's All Nighter from 01 Cattle Co and Christopher Whitehead, with $19,565 in earnings and a $1,500 bonus.

 

Coming out on top of the Futurity standings, which uses points to determine the Regular Season Champion, was Tango from Wyatt Crowder with 19,360 points. Tango will also receive a $5,500 bonus and a Big Tex stock trailer.

 

Accumulating 18,750 points for second was Fireworks from D&H/Adams, which earned a $4,500 bonus. The third place Futurity bull earned a $3,500 bonus and was Go Blue from Mogg/Whisnant/The Jaynes Gang. With 14,625 points it was Just Kidding from Gary Long/The Jaynes Gang for fourth with a $2,500 bonus. In fifth with 11,025 was D&H's Big Sky, earning a $1,500 bonus.

 

In the Derby race, the top 3-year-old was Inferno (Barthold/D&H) with just under $26,000. His finish earned him a flatbed trailer from Big Tex and an extra $4,000. Smooth Over was second (GT Bucking Bulls) and earned the $3,000 bonus; Bezerk was third  (Rockin R) and got an extra $2,000. In fourth receiving a $1,000 bonus was Big Crush (Dunlap/Owens).

“We are excited to see these bulls  buck again in Las Vegas at the World Finals in a few weeks," said Daugherty. "However the slate gets wiped clean, so we could see a whole new batch of champions taking home the $1.2 million up for grabs in Nevada."
