“We are trying to bring something more to the community and give the contractors an event that they will mark on their calandar for years to come,” said Casey Decker, Buckers Unlimited, LLC., founder and Building by Design No Credit Bucking Battle organizer. “In the Derby and Classic classes we’re going to match top bucking stock with some top-level touring bull riders from the PBR, PRCA, CBR, BULLc.”

Yearling, Ladies, Futurity, Derby and Classic classes are offered. Entry fees are $250 for yearling, $200 for ladies, $300 for futurity, and $450 for Derby and Classic. All classes offer ABBI co-sanction points.

A beer garden is open on the grounds. Other events include the Morgan County Fair and live music. A calcutta and cajun boil get the fun started on Friday, Aug. 3.

The Building by Design No Credit Bucking Battle is among the fastest-growing bucking bull event in the area. Each year the event has grown. Last year, not only were there 100+ of the rankest bucking bulls bought to the Building by Design No Credit Bucking Battle, but the evening bull ride drew a standing-room only crowd.

Buckers Unlimited, LLC., was created in 2015 when Decker gathered the present board – Clint Decker, Josh Koschel, Josh Frihauf, Cody McFadden, Kody Lostroh, Phil Markoff and Tenneile Rice – to discuss the launch of sanctioned bucking events in a region that would reduce costs for breeders. In 2017, a women’s division was formed and titled “Belles and Bulls,” which has a mission to empower women in rodeo, agriculture and life.

The organization is now known as BULLc, with the Building by Design No Credit Bucking Battle event being the eighth of nine regular season events before the Sept. 29 Finals in Sterling, Colorado. Each event on the schedule has steadily grown in terms of numbers of bucking bull entries and the quality of bull riders.

Make sure you put Brush, Colorado, on your summer schedule.
