ABBI WORLD FINALS BIG TEX CLASSIC TO PAYOUT OVER HALF A MILLION DOLLARS
Guaranteed Prize Money to Top 20 Bucking Bulls

PUEBLO, Colo. (January 8, 2016)- American Bucking Bull Inc. (ABBI) has announced the estimated payout for the 2016 ABBI World Finals Big Tex Classic event. Over $500,000 will be paid out in prize money to the 3 and 4-year-old Classic division animals, with $200,000 going to the first-place bucking bull.
"We're very excited about the Classic bulls this season and proud that we can award so much in prize money," said ABBI Executive Director Jay Daugherty. "There's so many good bulls competing this year that I think we'll see a tight and dynamic race all season long, as members work to get their animals qualified for Las Vegas."
Entry fees are being reduced to $4,000 (last year was $5,000), which means any animal that finishes in the Top 20 will, at a minimum, earn back their entry fee. Classic animals qualify to compete at the World Finals by entering regular season ABBI Classic events, which typically pay out around $35,000 per event. The animals with the most money accrued by October earn the right to buck in Sin City.
"Once again the ABBI has listened to its members and we're very excited to have been able to lower the fees by $1,000 and that we will be paying 20 places as we used to some years back," said Russ Gant, ABBI Board Member. "Great bulls can still win tremendous amounts of money and get TV exposure, while very good bulls can still make a handsome pile of cash! The Classic system is alive and well and I could not be happier!"
The ABBI World Finals will take place Oct. 28- Nov. 6 in Las Vegas with South Point Resort and Casino serving once again as ABBI Headquarters during the 10 days of events. The Classic bulls will face-off against the top PBR bull riders in the world during two rounds of the PBR's World Finals.
